1. Is Heartland Urgent Care a walk-in clinic in Mississauga?

Yes. We provide same-day assessment when physician capacity permits. Patients commonly visit for cough, fever, sore throat, infections, allergies, rashes, urinary symptoms, minor cuts, sprains and other non-emergency concerns.
Our physicians assess many minor illnesses and injuries, including cold and flu symptoms, ear or throat concerns, skin problems, minor infections, headaches, stomach symptoms, uncomplicated urinary concerns, minor burns, cuts and musculoskeletal injuries. Some conditions require testing, referral or emergency care.
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, stroke symptoms, major trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, loss of consciousness, severe allergic reaction, suicidal crisis or another potentially life-threatening condition.
Many medically necessary physician services are covered for patients with a valid Ontario health card. Some forms, examinations, procedures, medications and supplies are not covered by OHIP and may have a fee. Review our private medical services page for examples.

Children’s Health and Vaccination FAQs

20. Does your walk-in clinic see children?
Yes. Our physicians assess many common non-emergency illnesses and minor injuries in children. Age eligibility and service availability may depend on the clinical concern and physician capacity. Babies or children with severe symptoms should receive urgent emergency assessment.
Vaccination services may include routine childhood immunizations and other recommended vaccines, depending on supply and eligibility. Please bring the child’s immunization record and book ahead when possible. See children’s health and vaccinations.
